happy birthday eugene!!
haha it was a fantastic birthday!
well basically some of us suprised him this morning by waking him up really early and blindfolding and bringing him all the way to chocolate bean! yupp so in the end all of us met up at chocolate bean. i ordered chocolate icy drink. which was nice! just the right amt of chocolate! the rest ordered other interesting chocolate soup and chocolate firth cake which looked and tasted really nice too! :) then came the nxt surprise... a chocolate birthday cake! and chocolate drink! haha:)
nxt we proceeded to my place... and made him do a treasure hunt to find his pressie.. which i happily hid under the table under the stairs... haha:) so after tat played monopoly! was soooo unlucky today! super suay man! sighhhh. lets not talk abt that. then also played mahjong. didn't play that long but at least i managed to win one round. wahh eugene was really lucky today.. kept "planting a garden" haha. pple are really lucky on their birthday huh! :)
then after that everybody came upstairs into my room! 13 pple in my small little room... can u imagine? 5 pple on the bed, 1 on the piano... the rest either on the floor or standing ard. basically had a karaoke session with different pple taking turns to play the piano:) very fun! after that had to chase everybody away coz i had to go for a badminton dinner with yvonne at the norwood thai restaurant... and the food was not bad! :) hee:)

ROCK CLIMBING is really FUN!
went rock climbing yesterdae with myintzu and moses. very interesting i must say. and super tiring... after just one climb my biceps and flexor muscles were already sore! tried climbing a few different walls... but then i always get stuck in the middle coz it gets too hard! but it was exciting nonetheless:) and you actually feel like you're getting a good workout! haha. must go back again! :)

back from whyalla. wat an experience!
well the whole trip was kinda exciting and tiring. got to go to the hospital to interview patients. had clinical sessions.. learnt abt intubation, cannulation, cpr... also went sightseeing... to see what a rural area looked like. well i have always thought a rural area would be like farms, cottages, vast areas of plantations or ranches.... but in fact whyalla actually was like a small town... with shopping centres, houses and all! yupp so anw the accomodation was great and the FOOD was even greater! free food everyday! and it was delicious! lolz.
the best part of the trip was the trip to the outback station.. which was a farm i guess. had a sheep shearing demonstration by the owner. and then we got to go sightseeing! took a truck there... and all 17 of us were at the back! some standing and some sitting. and the scenery was just so pretty... so much greenery and fresh air! so went to the top of a little hill to take pictures and then to the water hole to throw stones. haha. came back to the house to rest and dinner! it was a campfire BBQ! so i helped them bbq all the kebabs and chicken sausages which tasted wonderful! yupp after dinner played the drinking game with the aussies. the game was called remier league. its a cool game. but there are soo many rules... ended up having to drink a lot coz made sooo many mistakes... but it was FUN lah! and the aim of the game was to drink anyway. hehe.
the worst part of the trip was obviously cultural awareness day... and learning about the aborigines. wahh it was super BORING... kept falling asleep. the only good thing was seeing all the other peeps from the other areas and taking photos during the breaks... haha. lunch was pathethic too.
overall rural week was fun. so i'm happy. and there's one more week of holiday!

its the hols! and tmr i'm off to whyalla for rural week!
so i'm hoping its going to be FUN!
yup no internet for 1 whole week! and for once, i'm actually looking forward to not having internet. need a BREAK... haha

anyway yesterdae and today have been rather crazy.. went over to debby's hostel to have a party. haha played mahjong... talked or actually gossipeddd.... i think i really said TOO much. -me and my big mouth- but anw it was FUN... didn't sleep until like 6am! and woke up at 7plus am. was super TIRED. debby and her hostel mates wanted to join in the City Bay Run to Glenelg. still went ahead though i was extremely tired... so walked 6km all the way to Glenelg! haha along the way there were bands and all. and saw the med pple running too! pretty exciting... all in all took us around 1 plus hour to walk and it really felt good! -pats self on back- yup after that ate lunch and came home and SLEPPPTTT..... :)

i have to blog about the royal adelaide show. its like a huge carnival/fun fair/entertainment park. yup anw i went there twice. and spent a lot of money there. but it was all in the name of fun. oh well... this kind of show only happens once a year (thankfully). basically at the fair i played games. which all seem super easy to win but are actually NOT at all what they seem. sooo hard to win those HUGE toys! sobb. only managed to win one the first time i went with yvonne. the second time i went my luck (or actually fang's luck) wasn't that good so we only managed to win a lot of small toys (which are cute lah). took the rides too! like the hangover(took it twice!) which was super scary man. screamed all the way up and all the way down.. hahaha. but at least i'm better than fang... he didn't even dare to take the hangover. heh heh. (i think he's gonna kill me after reading this entry.. oh well) haha so managed to do some shopping too! there was a BIG and super CROWDED showbags area. so many showbags to buy! and so cute too! got a wonka bag with LOTS (and i really mean lots) of sweets! i just hope i dun get diabetes after eating so much sweets. just learnt about the complications of diabetes and it doesn't sound very nice. managed to get a nice pink hat too! (courtesy of yvonne!) yupp there were lots of other exhibtions at the show too! like the motor show, food show... which were all interesting! oh and the first time i went i didn't manage to catch the fireworks, but the 2nd time we stayed long enough so managed to catch the fireworks! nice enough i guess. but i think the national day ones are nicer! haha!
